About Charlie:
Charlie is our fearless leader, CEO, and the visionary behind our company. Born in Manhattan, Charlie lived in NYC for 28 years, then spent 25 years in LA. She worked at the pinnacle of luxury retail, eventually managing boutiques on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, including Celine as well as Bottega Veneta.
Throughout her career, she faced discrimination, bias, and barriers because she is a black woman. While she overcame each obstacle, she carries a deep understanding of the challenges faced by black Americans, and Black American Women, at all levels of our society and economy. Blac Flowerz is her vision for an encompassing brand that curates and showcases the work of Black American Women on the world stage. By elevating each artist, and each product, Charlie seeks to elevate all Black American Women, creating awareness, wealth, and opportunity now and into the future.
